Overview

Krishnaguru Adhyatmik Visvavidyalaya (KAV) is a private university in Assam, located at Nasatra, Barpeta district. It was established in 2017 under the Krishnaguru Adhyatmik Visvavidyalaya Act, 2017 (Assam Act XXVI of 2017). The university developed from the educational and social initiatives of Krishnaguru Siksha Parishad, whose institutional activities date back to the 1970s.
Educational philosophy

Recognition and professional approvals

KAV states that it is recognised under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act and is listed as a State Private University in Assam. KAV offers UG, PG, Diploma/Certificate and Ph.D. programmes. The admission procedure varies depending on the programme.

2. Check Eligibility

Eligibility is based on the qualifying examination and varies by course. For example, UG programmes generally require the relevant 10+2 qualification, while PG programmes require a relevant bachelor's degree. Professional programmes such as BPT, Pharmacy, etc. may have additional regulatory requirements.

3. Apply Online or Offline

5. Selection Process

6. Ph.D. Admission

For Ph.D. programmes, KAV uses the KAV-RET (Krishnaguru Adhyatmik Visvavidyalaya Research Entrance Test). Candidates must meet the prescribed postgraduate/bachelor's degree eligibility requirements and qualify in the entrance test before the interview.

7. Document Verification & Fee Payment

After selection, the candidate completes document verification and pays the prescribed admission/semester fees to confirm the seat.

8. Admission Confirmation

Once the formalities are completed, the university confirms admission and the student can join the programme.
