Overview
Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Meghalaya is a private university located at Khanapara, Ri-Bhoi district, Meghalaya, very close to Guwahati. It was established under the Mahatma Gandhi University Act, 2010 (Meghalaya Act No. 6 of 2011). The university is recognised by the UGC and has programme-specific recognition/approval from bodies including the Bar Council of India (BCI), Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), Meghalaya Nursing Council and Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). It is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
