Admission Process 2026

William Carey University (WCU), Meghalaya accepts applications for Diploma, PG Diploma, UG, PG and Ph.D. programmes. The university provides both online and offline admission options.

1. Choose Your Course

First, select the desired programme and check the course-specific eligibility, duration and fee structure from the university prospectus.

2. Apply Online or Offline

Online Admission

Register through the university's admission portal.
Complete the application form.
Pay the ₹100 application fee.
Upload the required documents.
Submit the application online.

Offline Admission

Visit the university office and obtain the form by paying ₹100, or
Apply by post with the prescribed ₹200 fee.
3. Documents Required

Common documents include:

Recent passport-size photograph
Signature
Age proof — 10th admit card/Aadhaar/driving licence
10th and 12th marksheets/certificates
Graduation marksheets/certificate for PG
Caste/tribe certificate, if applicable
Other course-specific certificates

The university requires educational marksheets and certificates from matriculation onwards.

4. Application Scrutiny & Selection

After receiving the application, the university scrutinizes the candidate's eligibility and documents. Selected applicants are informed by email or telephone, along with an admission receipt/token.

5. Pay the First-Semester Fee

After receiving admission confirmation, the student must complete admission by paying the first-semester fee through the university office or online payment gateway. The university allows the semester fee to be paid in two equal instalments.

6. Confirm Admission

The applicant is required to complete the admission procedure within 10 days of receiving the admission confirmation email. Failure to complete the process within the prescribed period may result in cancellation of admission
