BDS – ADMISSION PROCESS
BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) is an undergraduate professional degree for students who want to build a career as a Dental Surgeon.
🎓 Eligibility
- Passed Class 12 / 10+2 or equivalent.
- Must have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English.
- Admission is based on the applicable NEET-UG requirements.
- Candidates must satisfy the age and other eligibility conditions prescribed for the admission year.
📋 BDS Admission Process
Step 1 – Career Counselling
Understand BDS eligibility, NEET requirements, college options, fees and career opportunities.
Step 2 – NEET-UG Registration
Register for the NEET-UG examination through the prescribed process.
Step 3 – Appear for NEET-UG
Take the examination and obtain your NEET score/rank.
Step 4 – Counselling Registration
Register with the appropriate counselling authority, such as MCC for applicable All India counselling or the relevant State Counselling Authority.
Step 5 – Choice Filling
Select preferred BDS colleges according to rank, eligibility, category, location and budget.
Step 6 – Seat Allotment
Participate in counselling and receive seat allotment according to merit, preferences and availability.
Step 7 – Document Verification
Complete verification of the required documents.
Step 8 – Fee Payment
Pay the prescribed admission/tuition fee within the specified deadline.
Step 9 – College Reporting
Report to the allotted dental college and complete admission and joining formalities.

⏳ Course Duration
BDS – 5 Years
4 years of academic study + 1 year compulsory rotating internship, subject to the applicable dental education regulations.
