Pharm.D (Doctor of Pharmacy) is a 6-year professional pharmacy programme after 10+2, consisting of academic study followed by practical/internship training.
🎓 Eligibility
- Passed 10+2 / Higher Secondary in the Science stream.
- Physics and Chemistry must be compulsory subjects.
- Mathematics or Biology as one of the subjects.
- Candidates who have passed D.Pharm from a PCI-approved institution may also be eligible for Pharm.D admission.
📋 Admission Process
Step 1 – Career Counselling
Understand the Pharm.D course, eligibility, fees, duration and career opportunities.
Step 2 – College Selection
Select a Pharm.D programme approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI).
Step 3 – Eligibility Verification
Submit your 10+2/D.Pharm documents for verification.
Step 4 – Application Form
Complete the college/university admission application form.
Step 5 – Document Submission
Submit the required documents:
- 10th Marksheet & Certificate
- 12th Marksheet & Certificate
- Transfer/School Leaving Certificate
- Migration Certificate, if applicable
- Aadhaar/ID Proof
- Passport-size Photographs
- Domicile Certificate, if required
- Category Certificate, if applicable
- D.Pharm documents, where applicable
Step 6 – Admission/Selection
Selection is made according to the concerned university/college and applicable admission rules.
Step 7 – Fee Payment
Pay the prescribed admission/semester fee and obtain the admission receipt.
Step 8 – Admission Confirmation
Receive the admission confirmation, enrolment details and college joining instructions.
Step 9 – Commencement of Classes
Attend orientation and begin the Pharm.D academic programme.

Pharm.D – 6 Years
5 Years Academic Study + 1 Year Internship/Residency.
🏥 Practical Training
The programme includes clinical and hospital-based training, with internship/residency as part of the course.
⚠️ Important
Before taking admission, verify that the specific institution and Pharm.D programme have the required PCI approval. PCI states that Pharm.D institutions require prior approval, and the approved intake is currently restricted to 30 students for Pharm.D.
